Surprise? As seen in the picture above, Greenery stores the vigor and lushness of nature.

It’s a color so refreshing and revitalizing that it evokes people’s spirits at the beginning of the year and represents human being’s vigorous New Year resolutions.

According to Leatrice Eiseman, the executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, “Greenery bursts forth in 2017 to provide us with the reassurance we yearn for amid a tumultuous social and political environment. Satisfying our growing desire to rejuvenate and revitalize, Greenery symbolizes the reconnection we seek with nature, one another and a larger purpose.” In 2016, the world has gone through so many hardships: the unexpected Brexit referendum result, the intensifying social and political division regarding the 2016 US election etc. Despite of these stressful matters, Greenery is the color of nature calling for everyone to refresh, revive, restore, rejuvenate and reinvigorate. Greenery symbolizes our seeking for peace, harmony and freedom.

At the same time, Pantone company also declares 10 color pairings palettes. Greenery is paired with neutrals, brights, deeper shades, pastels, metallics and even the enduring presence of PANTONE Color of the Year 2016, Rose Quartz and Serenity.

Now, Greenery is a very prominent element in fashion runways and makeup products. Are you ready to pick up a greenery clothing or other greenery products for yourself?
